Fractional Goodwill
Our team
Fractional Goodwill breaks big problems into small tasks anyone with a few minutes can finish. These are the people building it, starting with Operation Dumbo Drop.
Sue Davidson
Founder and program lead
Sue is a published biologist, MIT Sloan MBA (Class of 2004!), and retired strategy and analytics leader in digital marketing and customer-focused innovation and growth consulting. From 1994 to 2004, her scientific and applied work included research on bat behavior and communication, teaching high school biology, and consulting for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Today, she explores how people and AI can cooperate to turn scattered knowledge, resources, and goodwill into useful action.
She imagined Dumbo Drop to give people a practical way into a very large problem: climate change. Her approach combines scientific curiosity, real-world experiments, humor, and the belief that people have more to contribute than anyone has figured out how to ask for. By combining Drop with Fractional Goodwill, she hopes to help laid-off workers, retirees, and people whose disabilities make traditional employment difficult or inaccessible find meaningful ways to contribute—on terms that fit their lives.
Her hopeful wager: that ordinary people can help save the planet in their spare time by doing what they do best—and sharing it. Anyone can be their own hero, if we work together.
